Tariff for 2023
From £350 per week in Low season, to £500 per week in High season. Discount may be given for 2 or more weeks.
The weekly price includes the provision of all linen, towels (not beach towels), electricity and heating plus complimentary tea, coffee, milk, toiletries. I can supply dog towels for wet walk days if required.
A non-refundable £100 per week deposit is requested at the time of booking and full payment is due 4 weeks prior to arrival. Payment is welcome by Credit/Debit Card over the phone or Bank Transfer.
Pond Cottage is an annexe of Pond House farmhouse and was once the home to two farm labourers and their families. In 2005 we were awarded a grant from Defra to renovate the cottages into one cosy cottage. It is maintained to a very high standard it now enables us to offer an idyllic stay on a working farm in one unit sleeping 4 people with two en-suite bedrooms, one with bath/shower and the other a large shower. The cottage has full oil-fired central heating, electric cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, Freeview Smart TV, Radio/CD player and free WiFi. A tumble dryer, garden washing line, small patio and lawn area are also available for guests to use. There is a large parking area and a Public Footpath through the farm for walking and exercising dogs.
The ground floor rooms are open plan and face south. Maps of the farm are provided for bird watching and walking, local area maps with suggested cycle rides and ideas for trips out are also available (see the links page) Books, magazines and games are also provided to help make your stay a happy relaxing and enjoyable time.
The bedrooms both have ensuite facilities, 1 with a bath / shower and 1 with shower, clock radios, hairdryer, and face south. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement only and I request that guests please bring old towels etc for wet and muddy feet or I can supply them.
Guests are welcome to arrive in the afternoon, the cottage is usually ready from 2pm and I ask that the cottage is vacated by 10.00am on departure day.
We are 2 miles from the seafront and beaches of St Osyth and Clacton. A good base for visiting Frinton, Walton along the Essex Sunshine Coast. The Farm is mainly arable, guests may walk the farm footpaths to take in woodlands and ponds. A good base for bird watching along the Essex Coasts. Pets welcome by prior arrangement. Non-smoking, sleeps 4 people. Open all year round
